  1. Ability to circulate OR different service cases/procedures.  
  2. Able to work long, and at times, flexible hours. 
  3. Demonstrates manual dexterity, hearing acuity, and verbal ability. 
  4. Displays ability for standing for extended periods of time, walking, lifting, bending, and stooping for most of the workday. 
  5. Involves exposure to blood/body fluids, hazardous material, radiations and communicable diseases. 
  6. Able to deal with frustration and stress appropriately. Remains calm under pressure. 

Responsibilities

  1. Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. 
  2. Demonstrates physical assessment skills. Displays effective organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed. 
  3. Illustrates efficient computer skills within service provided. 
  4. Shows effective problem solving and can develop critical thinking skills. Maintains clinical and professional competency levels required of age-specific populations. 
  5. Must be an effective team-oriented nurse, assisting and mentoring others to facilitate patient and/or customer satisfaction. 
  6. Able to identify appropriate staffing, supply, maintenance, and equipment needs and adjust as necessary with budgetary guidelines. 
  7. Able to serve as a positive role model, be flexible/open to change, function effectively under pressure. 
  8. Collaborates with Assistant Nurse Managers to complete evaluations/counseling/ disciplinary actions. 
  9. Effectively and professionally communicates with other staff, physicians, shift supervisors and ancillary departments. 

Qualifications

  1. Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required. 
  2. BSN preferred. To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date. 
  3. Minimum of two years OR experience required. 
  4. BCLS required. 
  5. CNOR preferred.
