Role Responsibility:
Summary: The primary objective of the Patient Care Coordinator is to proactively manage patient flow while assuring effective, quality care. This is a highly visible position within the organization that requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. In partnership with leadership, the Patient Care Coordinator supports the assigned patient care area(s) and facilitates patient flow and a systematic flow and patient care. Duties include leading shift huddles, completing patient assignments, supporting daily operations, assuring team members meals, first-line resolution of patient/team members/provider complaints, elevating appropriate items to the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing. Additionally, the Patient Care Coordinators support organizational quality initiatives and throughput goals as well as completion of required daily reports and checklists.
